This report presents a comprehensive review of the key commercial MMA technologies and emerging bio-based routes. Regional economics have been developed for MMA technologies in the United States, Western Europe, Japan, and Singapore. Additionally, MMA supply and demand has been developed for the major global regions.

Commercial LAB production technologies (n-paraffins dehydrogenation, benzene alkylation) have been reviewed. Regional costs of production for n-paraffins and LAB have been evaluated. Global supply/demand is included.
Acrylonitrile/Butadiene/Styrene production processes have been reviewed. Process economics on a USGC and China basis have been developed for emulsion, bulk(mass), hybrid (emulsion/mass), and compounding. Regional supply/demand is included as well as a global summary.
The technologies, economics, supply, and uses of ethyleneamines are discussed for both current and emerging technologies. Detailed technology descriptions and regional economics for the USGC, North-West Europe, and China are provided for the ethylene dichloride process, the monoethanolamine process, and a speculative amino nitrile process from recent BASF patents.
Developing and commercialized chemical energy storage technologies (batteries) for grid and other large capacity applications are reviewed, characterized in detail, and compared to non-chemical storage options. Grid applications, especially for integrating renewable electricity sources (e.g., wind and solar PV), as well as others are also explained, modeled, and analyzed including for their economics.
Commercial technologies for producing solar grade polysilicon have been reviewed. Cost of production estimates for the chemical vapor deposition and the fluidized bed reactor (granular) polysilicon processes have been developed. Commercial applications and regional supply/demand analysis are included.
Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) production technologies have been reviewed. Regional costs of production have been evaluated for continuous bulk and suspension polymerization processes, as well as batch cell cast and continuous batch syrup processes. Global and regional supply/demand for PMMA is included.
Commercial lubricant base oil production technologies (traditional refining, hydroprocessing, gas-to-liquids (GTL), and poly-alpha-olefin (PAO)) and developing biotechnologies have been reviewed. Process economics have been developed in the context of increasingly favorable natural gas prices and more stringent environmental regulations. Regional supply/demand balance for lube oils are included.
Carbon fiber manufacture and regional cost of production economics from PAN and mesophase pitch precursors are evaluated. An overview of the outstanding properties of the material and its downstream fabrication into composite is discussed. Commercial applications as well as global and regional supply/demand market dynamics are included.
Polyacetal/polyoxymethylene (POM) production and technology trends are discussed. Costs of production economics are given for homopolymer and copolymer solutions, and bulk copolymer processes. Supply/demand analysis is given.
